Stave Lake Camp Info - Nov 4th to 6th

Lots to read and remember, I'll just highlight a few of them:

1> the cost ($10- / person)  Please bring the money with you. However the
actual cost is TO BE CONFIRMED.  We are waiting for the Popcorn fund-raising
tally.

2> Bring a packet of reasonably good for you snacks (to share with the
group).  One dozen of whatever. It will go into a big heap to be doled out
over the weekend
at snack breaks.

3> On the map, look for "THE LODGE" as that is where we will be sleeping.

Fall of 2011 Update - We are GROWING!

Wow!  What a great start to the year.  We have nearly doubled the group size - and we have several new leaders / assistant-leaders.  They are getting ramped up and we really look forward to all of your support and participation this year!

Remember:  Monday, October 3rd, is Bring-A-Friend night, so think of inviting a friend, school-mate or neighbour that might be interested in scouting and what we do.  There will be a slide-show, video and some activities.
7:00PM to 8:30PM at Mundy School at Mundy and Austin - Gym Entrance.

We have an educational display and are having a fund-raiser for our group.

If you are interested in finding out out more about joining scouts, please come visit.

For Youth and Parents of the Group, we are looking for your support - if you can attend for even an hour or two, your support would be greatly appreciated.

Baden-Powell's Birthday Week (Actual Birthday is February 22nd) - this event is on the 21st - Monday at 7PM at Mundy School Gym
ALL SECTIONS - Beavers, Cubs and Scouts - Parents too! 
Bring a Friend (Remember our new Contest for an XBOX Connect and other prizes) - every friend you bring is another ballot for the contest and introduces your friends to the fun of scouting.

Jamboree on the Trail - May 14 2011

Time:    9:30am -    3pm
Cost:     $4  (Hot Dog, Drink, Badge)
RSVP:    Before March 25th. 
Jamboree on the trail (JOTT) is an annual day for the World Scouting Movement to hike together. All in Scouting, whatever age and wherever they maybe in the world, are invited to participate in whatever way they can.

Coho Night Hike - Feb 26th

Come on out for the Coho Night Hike.   Walk the trails at night and complete the challenge stations on route.

WHEN:        Wednesday, February 23rd  2011
 TIME:         6:45pm  - Beavers / Cubs / Scouts / Venturers / Rovers / Leaders and Family to meet at Birchland School parking lot and walk down Prairie to Cedar Dr.
                   **It may be an idea to arrange a car be at Cedar Dr to drive back.
 WHERE:      Final destination is CEDAR DRIVE ELEMENTARY where we will have a sing-a-long, hot chocolate, and fire.
 WHAT:          We will be celebrating the birthdays of Lord and Lady Baden Powell - who are the founders of Scouts and Girl Guides.
                   FAMILY MEMBERS ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND.
 BRING:        A lantern made with your group (even a flashlight will work) & a Mug.
