Welcome to 12th Coquitlam, a Group within Scouts Canada. Based at Mundy Road Elementary, 12th Coquitlam serves the Central Coquitlam neighbourhood and surrounding areas. We are a member of Fraser Valley Council in British Columbia.
To Register for 12th Coquitlam, please visit the official Scouts Canada Website at scouts.ca and click the blue Join button in the top right hand corner of the page.
Registration is in the summer/fall for the program year that runs January to December. Scouts is a very popular program and there is often a waiting list for some sections.
We strongly encourage parents and other trusted adults to get involved. Becoming a Scouter is an excellent way to spend high quality time with your youth. We provide training and mentorship for new Scouters, no specific skills are required. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, feel free to contact us or register through the official Scouts Canada Website at scouts.ca (click the green Volunteer button). All volunteers are required to pass a Police Record Check, Reference Check and Interview for the safety of the youth.

Beavers (ages 5-7, grades K--2) are the youngest group in 12th Coquitlam Scouts. This group has a lot of fun playing games and making crafts. As with all levels of Scouting, there is a strong emphasis on adventures like camping, hiking, and even having campfires—all the while making great new friends along the way!
12th Coquitlam Beavers meet on Tuesday evenings at Mundy Road Elementary in Coquitlam.

Our Cubs (ages 8-10, grades 3-5) explore new challenges and plan adventures as a Pack. Cubs is an outdoor-focused program, with more hiking and camping than the younger group. Cubs camp 3-4 times per year in tents, typically in car-accessible sites. This is a great opportunity for youth to gain independence and leadership skills while learning to navigate the outdoors in a safe and sustainable way.
12th Coquitlam Cubs meet on Monday evenings at Mundy Road Elementary in Coquitlam.

Our Scouts (ages 11-14, grades 6-9) take Adventure to the next level. They do more frequent and more advance camps, including introductory hike-in/back-country camping, winter/snow shoeing, and canoe camps. Scouts, supported by their leaders, participate in the planning of the camps in this youth directed program.
12th Coquitlam Scouts meet on Monday evenings at Scout Hall in Blue Mountain Park in Coquitlam.
